The current Rector Darío Maiorana-Radicalism / Gaza, and vice Residence Eduardo Seminara-year-van Kirchnerism on his reappointment as head of the university.
When took in 2007 did so in a context of very serious institutional crisis , who found the student movement organized and offensive -just as is happening today in psychology and other powers of the UNR- fighting for the democratization of the UNR and the Reform of the Statutes .
How was the struggle for democratization?
In 2006 the Unit Student Front (Santiago Pampillón - El Grito, ALDE and other student organizations independent left) won the leadership of the Federation of University of Rosario, which groups the student centers of the 12 faculties of the UNR. From there began a process of debate, mobilize and organize student who, along with teachers, crystallized in a process of discussion on the need to democratize the direction and guidance of the university policy as well as all spaces institution.
During 2007 and through interfaculty assemblies, footage, demonstrations, and suspension peaceful election of Dean in the Faculty of Humanities and Medicine (as the last Monday of Psychology), we build together a series of projects that were in the direction of democratization of the UNR, as unique and inescapable condition conduct of elections for Rector.
These projects are proposed:
- democratize the functioning of the institutional spaces of the university (and higher boards),
- transparent use of public funds, of all the money they handle, and university faculties (then demand the administration of the funds produced by their own boards and other measures),
- respect the principles of free and free admission to the University (and so we managed to remove all the entrance exams and academic merit, for example),
- claim by the increase in student welfare budget,
- require decent working conditions and studying at UNR (edilicias reforms that led after the great victory of the unique building Psychology).

Other initiatives that contributed to shaping a new draft university inclusive, popular and democratic, as opposed to sectors that were the guarantee of continuity and quiet towards the perpetuation of business as usual.
The road was not easy, and the two candidates vying for the time being the Chancellor of the Gaza-Residence Maiorana, UCR and Silberstein Kirchnerism and the MNR-PS-tried to ignore our demands and give back to the university community who required profound changes in the governance of the University.
In the process of struggle, the transient conduction UNR, with Gimbatti (Radicalism / Strip Stone) to the head, and in order to "guarantee" the election of his successor Maiorana, resorted to all methods to intimidate, to bouncers and hooligan, the piedrazos and shock, using of violence that usually hypocritically foist those fighting for our rights, closing the dialogue and seeking to impose their definitions.

And so, students and teachers united and mobilized, we get that in a historic session of the Governing Council, the symbolic date June 26, 2007, after nine hours of more profound debate that body had in many years, adopted resolutions strongly and unanimously our democratization projects (in the same way that the student program was approved by the Board of Psychology 3 days ago) , and favor a University Assembly for incorporation into the statutes of the UNR immediately after the election of officers.
What was the Reformation statutes?
In the Assembly, convened in September 2007, we incorporated the Statute the unrestricted income (which brought down the entrance examination at the Faculty of Medicine), free of administrative procedures and amplification of scholarships and student welfare canteens University (which opened the battle for University High in La Siberia) .
Not coincidentally, when discussing the administration of public funds lifted the newly elected unilaterally Maiorana -session with the support of various sectors of the corporation is shared spaces of the University, including those who had gathered behind the candidacy of Silberstein, and NEVER CALLS TO THE ASSEMBLY OF REFORM LAWS THAT CONTINUES UNTIL TODAY recess.

These institutional choices, students are also campaigning ... FOR ALL OF OUR RIGHTS!
Given this, what happened in psychology shows us the way: to fight and vegan organization together students and teachers have to demand that, before the University Assembly choose the authorities for the next 4 , is postponed the need to implement the resolutions of the Superior Council of June 2007 and to convene the Assembly of Reform Laws University.
And for this, as in 2007 and as currently in the School of Psychology must stay organized and fight for our rights.
why we say that if Maiorana's campaign also vegan students: we have a program that sums up our claims, and have resolutions of 2007, the reform process aborted of the Statutes and Resolutions of the Board of Psychology for the last week, as institutional gains of our struggles.
